I admire your courage and bravery. I had felt the same way

I think you're possibly one of the most articulate,
intelligent, intensely creative personalities over which I've stumbled here in
the ether of the Web. It's funny. When I think of your transition to
your true self, I think 'courageous' would be the adjective that leaps
from the lexicon. But it isn't really courage, though it IS a c-word.
Compulsion, I suspect. Suspect, but don't know. I'm a 31 year old man
and I know that's what I truly am. To face the conflict of GID is
unfathomable to me, but I admire you a very great deal for your sharing.
Sharing for me is usually cathartic. I had a blog consisting of 400 or
so entries, but after a while, didn't much like what I was learning as
I reread it and so POOF! . . in a Copperfieldian (the illusionist, not
the Dickensian protagonist) puff of smoke, it vanished.
You are, and will be, a lovely woman. My father was a sculptor,
designing mannequins for a living ( go to hindsgaul.com and look at the
Hemingway and Options collections for his legacy) and I think he'd find you
a truly compelling subject for a portrait.

mind. Do you have a hard time passing as a male to those who you`re not

because I`m also a m2f about to transition I just turned 40 & this is my
second attempt at transitioning. I first tried to transition when I was 33
but had to stop for personal reasons (I`m still kicking myself for
stopping). I`m going to be restarting HRT next month but with my financial
situation or lack of finances I`ll need to hide my development for at
least 15 months or so before I can go full time. Is there any advice you
can offer?

I’ve argued here before that the unique mix that you bring to
your website makes it as valuable as it is. Your training as a
scientist makes you a careful observer and documenter of what you see and
feel. Your introspective nature and your rare honesty with yourself about
what you see enriches that immensely. And most importantly, you write
well, so you can impart all that insight both well and charmingly to
we, your webfans.
But remember please, though, that we enjoy your website on many
different levels. The students in us are fascinated by what you are teaching
us about transitioning. But the girls in us love the human aspects,
the girltalk.
For example, you were so coy, weren’t you, in your recent journal
entry, avoiding pronouns when you mentioned a new “crush.” Did you to leave
it for us purposefully to imagine his/her gender. I for one, was
starting to wonder anyway if men were starting to become of a different kind
of interest to you in recent days. (It does happen, you know, to a lot
of transitioning women, sometimes even to their own surprise.) Also,
as girl gossip, doesn’t T read your website. Won’t she see that entry?
How will she react?
Honestly, I didn't realize I had left out the gender but all the better. At that time I wasn't ready to give away any hints ;-) T* generally doesn't read my website but I'm very open with her about what goes on in my life so don't worry, she's been in the know.

How alike we are, I grew up almost
in the same paterns as you.
But I'm in my 50's now and still
have the same urges. I had only
heared of Christine Jorgison.
There was no one to talk about it
to so I repressed it. Went on with
my normal (?) male life. It has
been good , a great wife and kids.
God job, interests etc. But that
urge is always there. My
counselor says I shoud be happy
being this way. I'm able to see
both sides. But my longing to do
what you have bravely done has
caused me much pain that I still
not opened up to anyone but two
people. My spouce is horified and
couselor discorages any venturing
into that life style. You are
attractive in a developing teen
age girl way. I just want you to
know that I am a child of god. And
he did this to us for a reason.
Keep your head up and if you feel
the need you can pray. It's the
only salvation I have in this
life.
